The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs, is issuing this statement to inform the general public of the noted increase in gastroenteritis cases presenting to health care facilities throughout the island. For this year, to date over 700 cases of gastroenteritis have been recorded, a 30% increase in the numbers recorded for last year at this time. 5% of these cases have been admitted to and treated in hospital.
The plight of farmers in need of farm labor is receiving attention as the Unleashing the Blue Economy in the Caribbean (UBEC) Project, through its Contingent Emergency Response Component (CERC), continues to make strides in increasing capacity within the agriculture sector by launching the farm labor support program.
The Boys Training Centre (BTC) successfully hosted the 2nd edition of BTC Jazz on May 23, 2024, under the theme, “Together We Can.” The event, held at the Centre grounds, served as a fundraiser and an opportunity to highlight the talents and skills of juvenile wards undergoing effective rehabilitation at the BTC.

The master of ceremonies, Superman a.k.a Pringles, ensured an inspiring and entertaining evening.

Infor Cloudsuite is expected to radically transform the government's financial management capabilities, enhancing efficiency, accountability, and productivity in the delivery of government services.
