Four young Saint Lucians are heading off to Hungary to pursue undergraduate studies as part of a 3-year co-operation memorandum signed between The Ministry of Education Saint Lucia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hungary.

Under the stewardship of Prime Minister and Minister responsible for National Security Hon. Philip J. Pierre, operational and tactical capacity in the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force's Special Services Unit, has been bolstered. Dozens of police officers attached to the SSU Special Services Unit have successfully completed an intense basic training course designed to reinforce crime fighting efforts in Saint Lucia.

Home help caregivers in the Castries basin were the most recent recipients of training sessions on infection prevention and control measures aimed at providing them with the tools to perform their daily duties safely.
Health Educator in the Bureau of Health Education, Mrs. Janelle Alexander-Dupre, said it is important for caregivers receive this knowledge on infection prevention and control, so as to ensure they remain healthy for themselves and their clients.

Over the last two weeks, Saint Lucia received 7800 doses of Pediatric Pfizer: 3000 doses from the Government of Spain; and an additional 4800 doses through the COVAX facility.
The younger population ages 5 to 11 years can now get the much-needed protection against COVID-19 and its complications. These vaccines will further complement the existing COVID-19 vaccines available to the people of Saint Lucia.
