Every year Arizona REALTORS® host REALTOR® Day at the Capitol. REALTORS® from all over Arizona meet to speak with their legislators and catch up with each other.

This year I was able to catch up with Representative Tim Dunn (Yuma) at lunch. Representative Dunn is on the water and agriculture committees. He gave us a preview of those important topics this legislative session.

The WeMAR Open Range Task Force released the education flyer Are You on Open Range Land or in a No Fence District? Dec. 31, 2018. You can read more about it, download the flyer for you and your clients and access resource links at www.wemargad.org.

The WeMAR TPT Task Force has been in conversation with the Arizona Department of Revenue discussing DOR process and procedures. We have made suggestion on how DOR processes may be improved so that property managers, property owners and all TPT taxpayers may pay TPT in an efficient and timely manner.

The Arizona State Legislature will open its 2019 session on January 14th. REALTOR® Day at the Capitol will be January 15th. You can register for REALTOR®  Day at the Capitol at www.wemargad.org.

GAD Events: Beginning in January 2019 GAD live events will be live streamed to members not in the live event county. Listen to find out how to get the live stream event link.

GAD Podcasts will be adding occasional longer podcasts dedicated to an issue or topic important to the real estate industry. Our first two long form podcasts will be Fair Housing and a wholesale lending update including what's new at the CFPB. They are both in production, so listen for them later this month.
