In this episode of the GovFuture Podcast we feature a panel discussion from the March 2024 GovFuture Forum DC event that took place in Washington, DC. The hot topic panel focused on “AI, Cyber, and the Cloud”. The panel discusses how agencies pursue and buy cloud services. They also share key considerations for ensuring the integrity and security of database services in the cloud. As well as how government agencies can navigate compliance and regulatory frameworks when migrating to the cloud. The also share concerns about bias, transparency, and accountability that needs to be taken into account around the ethical use of AI and data.
This was a very thought provoking and engaging panel discussion. There were so many incredible nuggets of knowledge shared throughout this entire panel. It’s worth listening to the whole thing. The panelists at this event represented FDIC, NSIC, Mongo DB, and Ace of Cloud.

The threats posed by cybersecurity are ever changing. And, the modern maritime cybersecurity threats faced by our nation’s ports and other critical infrastructure is ever changing too. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is a pivotal agency within the United States Department of Defense. It's tasked with providing a vast array of logistics, procurement, and supply chain services to support the nation's military forces. It oversees the acquisition of everything from food, fuel, and uniforms. It also oversees medical supplies, and construction materials.
