The Grosse Pointe Chamber has a new branding initiative that we are excited to share with you all. We are partnering with College for Creative Studies and students from the Communication Design department on this project. For those of you that aren't familiar with CCS, the College is located in Detroit and is a small non-profit, private college devoted to providing excellence in art and design education. Communication Design is rooted in the traditions of graphic design, but it has morphed from the static pages of print to include motion graphics, interaction design, and spatial experiences.

We have invited some of the students currently working on this project to talk about it today. The project is a sponsored studio course, which provides CCS students the opportunity to engage with real clients and real design projects while they are still studying their major. We at the Chamber are excited to be a part of this project and thank Jody Ingle and Susan LaPorte for their help in bringing this whole group together, along with the Ford Fund for helping to pay the students for their work through scholarships.
