Sometimes it takes going back to a place we consider a “home base” to hear again the call God put on your life. A recent mission trip to our sister church in Cuba had that effect on the team from Grace. Before we strike out on a Summer Road Trip, we are sensing God calling us to stop and press into that pursuit of the presence of the Holy Spirit God so longs to pour out on his people.

In Part 3 of Hope is Everything “The Apostle of Hope” is telling the Christians in Asia Minor and us today “When you live out your holiness – YOU ARE HOPE”. You are the hope of the world, you are the kingdom of God! You don’t go to church, you are the church and you are doing a great work!

In part two of Hope is Everything we are reminded by the life and writings of Peter, the Apostle of Hope, that hope is not just a feeling – hope is a person. Even if your story is filled with pain and problems now, God is working everything for your good and for His glory for eternity. His love for us, His power over the grave, and His promises to us give us this Undying Hope.

Hope is an interesting word. It usually indicates a best case scenario or positive out come. When we dig into the way hope is used in the Bible it is quite different. It is a almost always used as a strong and confident expectation. What does it mean when we claim Jesus as our hope? Honestly, it means a lot of things but this week we will look at what it looks like to hope that we can see like Jesus.

Palm Sunday is the day we celebrate Jesus as King, but what kind of Kingdom did he come to enact? What does it look like to be apart of it in 2017? What kind of King is he? Will he meet our expectations? Join us as we look at all of this and more in this week's sermon.

Where do you gather the courage to do the thing you dread because you might not be received well? Jesus entered the "Danger Zone" when he agreed to go raise Lazarus from the grave for the religious police wanted to kill him. And he shows us two purposes God is after when we pray for wisdom.

Take time to consider what you would have to give up if you could not see or how many ways your life would change. Then imagine Jesus opening your blind eyes. He actually did this to a guy born blind. And he does it today to all who grope about searching for answers in the dark.

Everyone’s looking for it and no one seems to be able to find it. The Rolling Stones said it best in their 1965 hit, “I can’t get no… ”. In part three of “Walk This Way” Jesus offers the woman at the well something her soul needs profoundly as her body needs water.

We all have those moments of driving down the road with the radio blaring and one of those well worn songs begins to pulse through the car. Many times we do one of two things; check out mentally or change the channel. Sometimes we can do that when we arrive a scripture passages we are familiar with. Don't do that this week! Join us as we look at the story of Nicodemus in John 3 and hear Jesus' life altering invitation to him.
