1. Anticipate Joy (Psalms 96:11-13
Let the heavens, the earth, the sea, the fields all creation sing for joy...Why? Because He comes.
2. Recognize Joy (1 Peter 1:8)
Love Him and believe in Him and you will be filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. God Offers a depth of joy that is not based on our circumstances or our efforts, but on the loving work of God. The shepherds recognized the arrival of joy in the world, and they were filled with joy as they responded to it.
3. Choose Joy
Chose Gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Chose to Obey (John 15:10-11)
Choose to Abide (John 15:9)
An ongoing, abiding relationship with Jesus brings the gift of joy into our lives.
Joy comes from the knowledge that Jesus has come, Jesus is coming, and that Jesus is here!
