The Book of Revelation now rushes to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in its narrative. The rapid events of Great Tribulation judgements, the rise of the final anti-Christ, and the gathering of the nations to war against Israel now occur. The last event on planet earth before “the glorious appearance of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13) is the war and battle of Armageddon. (Revelation 16:16)

“The Blessing Book,” the book of Revelation, is a book of incredible joy, praise, holy celebration, and song! Yes, Revelation is full of judgment for the lost, the unrepentant, and the proud. But our passages this morning are texts that sing and shout for joy!

“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb.” The song of Moses is the marvelous closing words of praise by Moses in Deuteronomy 32-33 as he concludes his forty year ministry and enters the Promised Land of the presence of God. Now, the Book of Revelation blesses us and fulfills Scripture with “the song of the Lamb.”
