Chapter 7 highlights a unique group of people, the 144 thousand - called by God and sealed by God to be God's evangelists during the tribulation. Their number and their identity demonstrate, yet again, just how faithful and compassionate God is.

We're working our way through the book of Revelation, the last book in the Bible. This week, Pastor Pierre Rosa introduces us to the Tribulation Missionaries - God's special preachers after the church has been removed from the earth.

While the Bible is full of pleasant subjects, hope and comforting promises, this passage from Revelation Chapter 6 is quite different. It should cause us great concern as we see God's righteous judgment on display.

Scripture has warned about this coming period of great trial and trouble, and not just predicting it's certain coming, but also mourning those that will find themselves in that period and predicting just how bloody and deadly that time will be.

Last week Pastor Pierre discussed the first horseman - a harbinger of false peace and willful deception of the people left on earth after the rapture. This man, riding a white horse and carrying only a bow - without arrows, fills a desperate need for peace, after a vast number of the population suddenly disappears from the planet and leave behind incredible chaos in the void. But as we'll learn today, that the peace is brief, and soon gives way to broken promises and horrible destruction.

It's from this chapter that we learn of 4, very famous figures - men, you may have heard of, but might not know, have their origins in the Bible. They are the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Today we're reminded that our praise includes our prayer - prayer that can seem like pointless words spoken - but not heard. And yet, we know God hears them and answers. And we'll conclude proclaiming the name of our great Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ.

There's almost endless chatter about worship in the church community. It must be quite confusing to unbelievers to hear us preach the importance of the Savior and then spend so much talking about the style of music we like or dislike in our services. Modern, contemporary, traditional, blended - you name the genre, someone's either passionately arguing it's the key to reaching the lost or dogmatically denouncing it as a sign of the end times.
