Walking in step with the Spirit will draw us into close Koinonia fellowship with other Christians where things are worked out for the protection of the gospel and the ministry of the body. We love the unbeliever as Jesus loves them, but we don’t compromise or set aside our faith in order to connect with them. We walk out of the world. We willingly, joyfully walk out of the world’s acceptance and approval and into the arms of our father. No more compromises. No more division. We leave, repent of sin and turn to him. We leave so we may find.

As we look at 2 Corinthians 6 today, it would be easy to read this and think it is all about the Apostle Paul’s life and doesn’t have much to do with your life. God may want to speak to you today about your ministry to your family or your spouse; He may want to show you how you see the relationships in your life and some of what His plans for your life may be. Are you playing tug of war with God feeling as though He just doesn’t quite do what you think He should? My invitation to you today is to give up, give in, let go, lose it all. Possess nothing so you can have everything in Him.

To be an ambassador for Christ is a political term when Paul wrote it. He wanted us to see the awesome privilege we have of being representatives of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. The word “For” in the phrase “Ambassador for Christ” is the Greek Huper which means on behalf of or in one’s stead. It reappears at the end of the verse – “we beg you on behalf of Jesus Christ.

Living in Jesus is awesome, right? We have a freedom from living under the taskmaster of a performance driven world and a religion that’s all about rules. The presence of joy in our lives is unspeakable and full of glory. There is a peace that goes beyond even our understanding of it. There is a love from our father that will never be removed. We live every day wearing the full armor of God demonstrating His power against the temptations and tactics of the enemy. Jesus is beyond description.

God is in complete authority and yet loves us so deeply. His very nature produces an awe in us that spills over into how we operate day to day. He is so, so good to you and it’s not because you’re good, but because you're His. His love is something you never get over. It captures, apprehends you. It changes how you look at the world, the future.
