We conclude our look at 1 - 2 Chronicles and part one of our OT survey.

What comfort do we have after this life- What can we expect- In the final section of the Apostles' Creed, we begin to consider these points. So, let's see what hope Scripture has for us along these lines.

Paul brings together the encouragement and instructions he gave to speak about the form and function of the church. He wants Christians to understand key factors about the life in God's household, so Paul expounds the conduct and confession of the church. This is for us all to consider, as it affects our lives in the Father's house. We'll see the address to the church, the conduct within the church, and finally, the hymn of the church.

We begin our look at 1 - 2 Chronicles.

We open this evening with the ticking clock. With the battle in heaven occurring at the halfway point of the seven-year Tribulation, Satan only has 3 - years to accomplish his goals on earth. So, he turns against the woman, persecuting God's people with an intense fury. Yet, the Lord protects His people in the midst of this persecution, a truth we can appreciate today.

What do the good homes and other qualities of deacons bring to the church- Today, we note that final qualification God gives to deacons, that they manage their households well. We'll then note His promise to deacons who serve well within the church.
