We see the attitude of worship -and of riot- in unbelievers. May it not be true of us-

How can we as sinners be made right with God- How can we trust that our position is secure in Him- God teaches us what hope we have by revealing how we are reconciled to Him.

We all tend to think our hearts are right before God. Everyone in this passage was in a religious position, but only one person demonstrates a heart of genuine adoration toward Christ. What contrast is painted between her heart and others- What does Christ say to our hearts that so often lack that true affection for Him-

There is one sure word of comfort for all Christians, and that is Jesus Christ is coming soon for His own. We should not only anticipate His imminent return, but draw hope from it in times of sorrow. As an addendum to our study in Mark 13, today we examine the biblical doctrine of the rapture.

As we finish our look at Deuteronomy, we try to tackle the question of how to interpret the Law from a New Testament perspective.

Here is the audio of our first session- we introduce the need for the document as well as explain its first article-----WE AFFIRM that the Bible is God's Word, breathed out by him. It is inerrant, infallible, and the final authority for determining what is true -what we must believe- and what is right -how we must live-. All truth claims and ethical standards must be tested by God's final Word, which is Scripture alone.----WE DENY that Christian belief, character, or conduct can be dictated by any other authority, and we deny that the postmodern ideologies derived from intersectionality, radical feminism, and critical race theory are consistent with biblical teaching. We further deny that competency to teach on any biblical issue comes from any qualification for spiritual people other than clear understanding and simple communication of what is revealed in Scripture.

With so much sensationalism surrounding end-time prophecy, it's tempting to ignore it and focus on other doctrines. However, that is not the proper response. In fact, our Lord commands our interest in it- He fills this passage with imperative statements that demand watchfulness and attention.
