As Peter reflects on Jesus’s supreme sacrifice, he draws out four precious truths about our great salvation.

1. The Price of Our Salvation — The Life of Jesus:

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross.”

2. The Purpose of Our Salvation — A Changed Life:

“so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness.”

3. The Promise of Our Salvation — Our Sins are Fully Dealt With:

“By his wounds you have been healed.”

4. The Protection of Our Salvation — Kept by our Shepherd:

“You were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.”

Meet a person who loves to interfere in conflicts, treats it like a joke, only to makes things worse.

Strong and meaningful Christian relationships are the hallmarks of a healthy church and a saved life and are rooted in the instructions and character traits outlined in the Book of Titus. Building and sustaining strong Christian relationships requires hard work, sweat, sacrifice and diligence.

Even in the midst of judgment, there is hope. If we humble ourselves, confess our sins, and turn to Jesus in repentance, the gracious and loving God of the Bible promises to restore us.

God promised the Israelites five stages of punishment for their disobedience. Think of each stage as a louder warning. It is a powerful reminder that persistent sin brings a much heavier judgment.

At first glance, this passage may seem to focus on the agricultural benefits of letting the land rest every seventh year. But beneath the surface, God is teaching us two timeless spiritual principles that speak to us today:

1. God owns everything we have.

2. We are called to share what God gives us.
