One of the clearest signs of a healthy family is that they love one another. In a loving family, people do not live only for themselves. They share. They support. They give. They care and help carry one another’s burdens.
The same is true in the family of God.
When God saves us, He does not just forgive us and leave us alone. He places us into His family—the church. And in God’s family, we are called to be people who give.
We live in a world that teaches, “Hold on to what is yours. Protect yourself. Put yourself first.” But the kingdom of God teaches something very different. In God’s kingdom, love looks like generosity. Faith looks like giving. Maturity looks like surrender.
A church is never stronger than when it learns how to love through giving.
