We sing about grace being amazing, we talk about it as if it is special to us, but rarely do we understand the power it has to transform everything we know. In our study of John 9, we identify the power of grace to make all things new and call us to a deep relationship with God through Christ.

So many of us are gripped by fear, anxiety, doubt, or disillusionment with our faith. Jesus calls us to make a decision: will we live in fear or walk in faith. In this message, we identify these two options and how we often get here, as well as what we can do to make the right decision.

Hurt, heartache, suffering, and loss are all real feelings we experience in this life. Often, we mistake them as punishment from God. What if they are not? What if our loss is simply a way for us to gain more of Christ? In this message, we learn from John 9 about God’s purposes in our pain.

It is normal for people to fear death. We are created beings who know that our time on earth is limited and the fear of it coming to an end can grip our souls. However, for those who follow Christ, when we understand that He has offered us eternal life, the fear of death is put to rest as we find our hope in living on forever.

We all would love for God to send a billboard to our front yard telling us what we should do. We long to hear His voice clearly and vividly. In this passage, Jesus speaks of His divine character and challenges those who believe to listen to God over the voice of the devil.

Everyone in this room wants to be free in the deepest, fullest sense. If the opposite of freedom is bondage and slavery, no one wants that kind of bondage. Jesus Christ gives us the opportunity to be loosened from the desires of sin in this life and have the eternal promise of freedom in an unhindered relationship with God.
