After the New Years Encouragement from Psalm 144 last week; this week is an Exhortation for us, as His people, to be revived by the Lord.

Habakkuk 'debates' God as he questions His, seemingly, inactivity and silence in relation to His people... it is in God's answers that Habakkuk comes to realize his own failures but also cry out to God for Him to move in the prophets life.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

WOW... the new year has come upon us, and with the world still in a state of imbalance & uncertainty, the best thing we can do is have our eyes focused on our great, good, gracious God.

With all the, seemingly, empty promises of politicians; with our limited ability & lack of resources, we can still have hope and live victoriously as God's children because our hope is in Jesus Christ... He who saved us from sin, He who secured our eternal destiny, & He who will return for us as His bride (the church).

Let's look at the encouragement Psalm 144 gives as we see God's involvement with us; His Father heart toward us; & His divine protection over us!!

With today marking the last Sunday of 2020, it's a great opportunity for us to - not just reflect - but look forward to the coming new year!

Looking at Philippians 3 we look at the journey we take toward the '...prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus...' (v.14); that it is a journey WITH Jesus, a journey WITH difficulty, and a journey WITH hope.

A very Merry & Blessed Christmas to you and your family!!

As the world stops (sort of) and celebrates the commercial success of 'Christmas' we, as God's people, are blessed with the privilege to be reminded of and reacquainted with Christmas. More importantly, point us to the person that Christmas actually celebrates. Prayerfully we will take the time to reacquaint ourselves with Jesus, reacquaint ourselves with Jesus' acts in that 'reacquainting' deepen our appreciation & gratitude of the blessing knowing God as our King & the Lord Jesus as our Lord.

We can often forget the greatness of our God, the beauty of our Lord, and the presence of His comforting Spirit -- not intentionally for it can just be 'life' and the busyness it creates. 

Thus, at the beginning of the Christmas season, I wanted us to get back to the basics of that invitation and the steps the Lord has taken to extend that invitation to US by looking at WHO God is and get reacquainted with Him; not just academically & intellectually, but relation-ally & experientiallly too!

There are numerous questions Jesus asks people throughout the gospels, today we look at two foundational, if not basic, questions for all the followers of Jesus to answer.

Looking at the questions Jesus asked of His disciples in Matthew 16:13-15 prompts, not only the disciples, but US to answer and see how we answer influences what/who we believe and what/how we live in today's 'modern world'.

In light of the last days it is very easy to become 'lax' in our Christian walk; 'doubtful' of the Lord's return; or distracted from fulfilling our call. One of the means by which such attitudes can be combated in our lives is the gift of 'Understanding God's Plan' - we have been given great insights, by His Spirit through His word.

Therefore, lets take some time to examine the scriptures as shared from the Epistle of Jude... may the Lord bless you as you hear from Him this day!!

Today's message is a message of preparedness. 

A message that calls is ‘…redeem the time, because the days are evil…’  because regardless of what perspective you adhere too: A-millennial, Post-millennial, or the 0Pre-millennial perspective, the common factor each view has; is that of the Lord Jesus’ Return. His return in authority, in judgement, & in sovereignty that IS imminent -- as in IT’s GOING TO HAPPEN!!

So the question one must ask is... "Am I ready?"
