Throughout church history we see that the spiritual gift of prophecy has brought the church great benefit, and great harm. In 1 John 4 we learn how to receive the benefits while avoiding the harms.

To help us encourage each other and save the lost God gives us spiritual gifts. But is he still giving what are often called the more charismatic gifts? Paul helps us answer this question in 1 Corinthians 13:8-14:1.

The Passover was one of the most important events of the Old Testament. One reason is because freed Israel from slavery, so that through her God could fulfill his promises regarding the Messiah. But an even more important reason is because it gives us a powerful picture of what Jesus has done as our Passover lamb, whose blood protects us from God's wrath.
