Israel is ignoring God's word and trying to use the Ark of God as a type of lucky charm to help them in battle. Despite their actions, or maybe because of them, God's word comes true - the prophecy relating to Eli and his sons is fulfilled.

In this talk we consider how lifestyle and teaching are intertwined. For leaders especially, lives and doctrine set an example to others and send a powerful message about their faith. Pursuing personal godliness is of critical importance because it gives credibility to the gospel message. We are encouraged to value and pray for those in leadership - not just the minister but also other helping in many and varied leading roles.
