How can individuals from different backgrounds still be unified in the church? What tools does God supply for Christians in order to allow them to live together in harmony? Paul answers these and many other questions about how the local church can live out the Gospel as the individuals live life together in a Godly way.

What can give light and hope in the darkest of circumstances? David underwent just such deep valleys in his own life. Psalm 63 was written during just such a challenging time and in it, he gives the answer for how we can have hope and where we should turn when all seems against us.

How does Jesus measure up to other religions and other gods? Paul faced that very question when he spoke to a group of Greek philosophers and citizens of Athens. His message has much to commend itself to our own time and situation which point us to Jesus.

Where do you put your peace and security? Paul tells us that there’s a day coming when that will be put to the test; that it’s really about WHO you put your peace and security in that will save you when that day comes. The day is certainly coming, so you have a choice and a potential change to make today.

Christians are told that we should expect the world to not understand us and even to be negatively hostile toward us. But why is that the case and how do we face it properly. Peter’s first epistle gives us the answer and the tools Christians need to face this challenge.

To whom do you run to when the sky seems to be falling and the ground is crumbling beneath your feet? The Psalmist reminds us that all earthly forms of refuge are weak and will one day collapse and give way, but those who make God their refuge and strength will never fall.

Anyone who undertakes a hard task, such as the building or remodelling of a house, the completion of an academic degree or some other life goal, will know the sense of satisfaction and pride when that task is accomplished and the job is done. In Luke 2:22-32, we see both a task accomplished and a promise kept. But in this case, what occurred effects more than one or two people, it effects the whole world.

What is your favourite part of Christmas? Many people enjoy the lights, songs, treats or presents. But none of these are the true meaning of Christmas. When we look back to the first Christmas in Luke 2, we find the shepherds and Mary give us an excellent example to follow in order to understand and keep the most important part of Christmas.
