This morning we are reminded that the life of being a follower of Jesus is not one of comfort and ease but one of suffering with a hope of glory in the future.

Is the book of Genesis historical or something else? This is an important question to consider. And when the internal evidence is considered, the answer is clear. But once the reader understands what genre of literature Genesis is, then they must come to understand how God created the world and what that means for humanity today.

What does Genesis 1:1 tell us about God, the world, and us? The answer: much more than we might think. As we consider this first book and first verse of the Bible, we discover that Genesis is absolutely foundational in order to understand the rest of God’s Word and in order to develop a consistent Christian Worldview.

What is the purpose of God’s creation? If God created the world, then the only person who can tell us the purpose is God Himself. We must consider several passages where He tells us the purpose of His creation, but we must also consider how God is being attacked as creator and how His purpose for creation is being ignored. In this study, we consider how the Christian must choose to trust the revelation of an infallible God or the changing and contradictory opinions of man.

Are you living a life in accordance with God's will? Are you living a life of worship? This morning we are looking at the example of Gaius and consider whether we walk in truth in Jesus and what visitors think of Grace CCC.

Jesus tells us not to store our treasures on earth, where they will be stolen or destroyed, and instead store them in heaven. But what do treasures in heaven look like? And how do we store them there? Knowing the answers to these questions will give us motivation and guiding principles for how we use our wealth and possessions.

Does the Bible have anything to say about retirement? If we are going to serve God with longevity, then we must consider our retirement years. God has much to say on the subject, but we should be aware that God’s Word also contradicts many modern notions about retirement. Let us reform our understanding of this final stage of our lives on earth according to God’s clear Word.

How do we rest? Can we take time off and truly be rested? Many people are overworked and under-rested, but how can this be fixed? God’s Word gives clear answers to these questions from Jesus Himself.

For a Christian to serve God consistently, they must understand and practice what God says about finances. Specifically, Christians are to run from debt consistently and work to provide diligently so that they can give generously.

How should a Christian view money and possessions? Many individuals might be surprised to learn that there are more than 2,300 verses in the Bible speaking to this very issue. God has much to say about such matters. Above all, we must understand that He owns everything and that we are his managers or stewards. The question is: “Are we stewarding/managing His resources well?"
