As people who continue to receive God's love, we have an ongoing debt to love others. We are to love not only those who are our friends and family, but also those who persecute or hate us. We do this knowing that Jesus is coming back any moment now. We prepare for that day by giving up on worldly living and following in Jesus' footsteps, so that we might be ready when God's kingdom is fully at hand (Romans 13:8-14)

Last week we began looking at the idea of worship from Romans 12. What we treasure as the most valuable, most important thing in our life is what we worship.As Christians we worship God, but how does that translate into life? In the last few chapters of Romans, Paul outlines what worship looks like in a few different areas (Romas 12:14-13:7)

This Sunday we'll look at Romans 12, where Paul tells us what true worship is about. And while there are things we are to do, they come out of a response to God’s mercies shown to us in chapters 9-11. These chapters ought to grip our hearts and make us humble, grateful people who joyfully long to live for our gracious, merciful God (Romans 12:1-13)

This morning we see that even through the Israelites disobeyed God He brings grace and mercy, and is His plan of salvation to His people (Romans 11:1-24)

Today Paul asks why the Israelites were not saved, and the mistakes they made (Romans 1:30-10-13)

Some people are uncomfortable with the idea that God chooses whom he will have mercy on. It sounds like God is a cold-hearted chess master who manipulates people for his own purposes. But Paul teaches us that God is patient and compassionate, withholding judgement so that mercy might be shown to both Jews and Gentiles (Romans 9:1-18)

This Sunday we will considering Jesus' last words and what is needed to fulfil these last words.

This Sunday we come to our final character in this series- the blind man Bartimaeus. This account teaches us who we must seek to overcome spiritual blindness and how faith is integral in this process (Luke 18:35-42)

This Sunday we look at the account of Zacchaeus, the little man who caused people many difficulties. Yet Jesus calls Zacchaeus to take him to his place for dinner.

It's a story more than just one of grace, forgiveness and repentance. It is a true account of the transformation of yet another unlovable person into one who becomes a follower of Jesus. Jesus comes to seek and save the lost, and calls us as His messengers, to look out for all who are in need of a Saviour.

This Sunday we come face to face with a young man of notable repute. He was prominent, respected, successful & spiritually astute, yet leaves Jesus greatly saddened. Why? Because he wanted to serve two masters. No human being can serve two masters. Join us this Sunday as we are reminded of what it means to truly follow Jesus.
