Many academics, experts and elites are unwilling to give a straightforward answer to the question, "what is a woman"? The Bible answers that question and also spells out the matter further, describing for us the mark of an excellent woman worthy of praise and pursuit.

Proverbs equip us in the art of godliness in every area of life through every stage of life. Every area of life includes the role of rulers. We'll consider God's wisdom speaking to our civil rulers, as well as to the rest of us who are created and called to rule under the ultimate rule of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We tend not to think of God as one who hates. But the Bible is clear that there are certain things God hates and expects that we, as his children, would hate as well.

God created us to work. Six days you shall work, and the seventh you shall rest. Solomon reminds us of the sinfulness of sloth and the goodness of working hard in the fear of the LORD.

We're back in the Proverbs again, taking a second pass over Proverbs 5-7, which is a tactical manual not only counselling us how to avoid sexual sin and adultery, but how to honour the LORD with our bodies and in our marriage.

Satan is cunning. Our hearts are often deceived by sin. We need strong warnings to guard us from stepping off the path of wisdom. In particular, we need God's warnings and wisdom in regard to our sexuality and marriage. Prepare your hearts to receive the word of warning about the deadly sin of adultery.
