In this standalone message from Rob Walter, an elder at Grace, we look at what it means for Jesus to be the answer for every need and question we have. From the beginning to the end of human history, God's plan has always been to provide for his people through the person and work of Jesus Christ.

In this last part of Thrive, our look at God's good design for family, we look back at some key things we've learned together over the summer. We see that all along it has been his plan for individuals and families to look to him, follow him, be on guard, and train up the next generation.

Deuteronomy 4:1-9

Families were designed to echo and display the glory of God to the whole world. Throughout the Bible, we see over and over again that there is a very specific pattern of thriving families and their desire to make God known. Listen along as we continue our series on the family and see what it was created to do.

Psalm 96

Families who thrive are those that live by grace. Each and every day, we must remember and respond to the work of God's grace in our lives. That will prompt us to be merciful, kind, and gracious to those closest to us in return. And in that grace, our families will thrive.

Ephesians 2:1-10

In part eight of our series on the thriving family, we look at the fact that everyone must identify with who God is. They identify with the truth of who he is, the plans he has for them, and his image in the person of Jesus Christ. Knowing our identity will help us swim upstream against the culture and battle our own indwelling sin.

Genesis 1-3

Thriving families need thriving men. Today, we go back to the garden of Eden as part of our series on the family to see what God has designed for biblical manhood. There are specific gifts of God to men, a mandate for men, specific assignments for men, and always-present weaknesses in men.

Genesis 2:15-25

Scripture gives instruction for the relationship between children and their parents. Today, we look at one of those places in Ephesians 6 as we continue our series, Thrive, about what God has designed for the family. We'll see that God has designed very specific responsibilities and promises for both children and parents.

Ephesians 6:1-4

One of the greatest things for families to do together is worship God as one. There is a tremendous benefit to us when we gather together to fix our eyes on the one who is most worthy of praise and admiration. In part five of our series on God's good design for family, we see why worshiping together is so critical to our growth.

Psalm 92:1-8, 12-15

In the fourth part of our series about what God has designed for the family, we look at one thing that marks all healthy families. Thriving families are those who have planted the Word of God within them. In our homes, the Scriptures must be taught, heard, discussed, and claimed.

Central to God's plan for thriving families is a structure. Solid and steady. God himself offers to be the trellis on which we can thrive. God offers to be the strong and steady core of our families and a sure foundation on which to build. In part three of our series, Thrive, we look at the dangers of replacing him with something or someone else.
