We will not understand the world and its brokenness. However, we must choose to personally trust in the prophesied King, Jesus Christ. In Him lies the eternal hope of the world’s redemption and restoration.

In the finale of Esther’s story we see the Jewish nation preserved as their armies thwart and eliminate the enemy. To commemorate God’s reversal of fate, the feast of Purim is instituted to remind Israel that God alone grants the portion given to every man. Our worries and cares are in the hands of the same God whose hands were pierced when He sealed our ultimate fate through the blood of Calvary.

Despite Haman's death, Esther and Mordecai still have work to do, as Haman's decree that all Jews are to be annihilated from the land still remains. Esther's compassion for her people drives her to plead for them before the King and points us to Jesus's compassionate intercession on our behalf.
