Our first session explores man’s core sin as demonstrated by the first man – Adam in the garden and how we can reject our natural tendency to be passive.

Through the obedience of Moses and Aaron, we are reminded that obeying God does not guarantee that things will get easier for us. We trust in a God who is sovereign and bigger than short-term suffering; His plans exceed our momentary affliction.

Have you ever stopped to think what it means to be a woman made in God’s image? Does it have any impact on the way you live your life each day? God created every woman with a specific purpose – to be an ezer kenegdo, an essential counterpart. An ezer is one who comes alongside another and brings strength in the context of relationship. All women share this core calling but how we live out our calling looks different for each woman based on her personality, gifts, strengths, perspectives and season of life. As we study the truth of Scripture, we will discover both the distinct power God has entrusted to women asezers and also the freedom every woman has to live out her purpose in her own unique way. This vital calling applies to all women regardless of roles or life situation; it overarches all that God has called us as women to do and be.

In a world that offers only toxic or shallow definitions of manhood, we must examine the Scriptures to discover what it truly means to be a man. What does it look like for men to lead and care for the people God has entrusted to them? How can we become men of substance who bless those around us? Our new, eight-week version of Authentic Manhood, which includes an introductory week and seven teaching sessions, will lay a biblical groundwork for men of faith to take responsibility for and move towards those around them, all while depending on God.

The exodus is the Old Testament picture of the cross for us. The Israelites, once slaves of the Egyptians, are freed from slavery, lavished in riches, and prepared to reconstitute their identity as a new nation. Despite Pharoah’s attempts to thwart God’s promise to rescue the Israelites, God’s faithfulness cannot be frustrated, and His promises never fail.
