The gospel saves us, assuring us that we will be with Jesus forever. But it does much more than that. Pastor Wayne leads us through Colossians 3:1-17.

In Colossians 2:16-23 Paul warns of false teaching that can disqualify believers and again proclaims the supremacy of Jesus.

Jesus has given those that put their trust in him ultimate freedom. The record of debt has been cancelled because he paid the price. His act effectively disarms the enemies of God who would seek to accuse us for our wrongdoing. The exhortation to walk in Christ is to live free.

The Christian life does not promise the avoidance of suffering, but gives hope in the midst of it. Paul exhorts the Colossian church by proclaiming the revelation of Jesus as the hope of glory. Knowing the greatness of that hope is a safeguard from being swayed by anything else. Colossians 1:24-2:5.

To understand the good news of the gospel, we must first understand the bad news. Jesus saves us where we are in our sin and brokenness. Colossians 1:21-23 reveals the new identity and hope that Christ brings.

Colossians 1:15-23 contains some of the richest text on the person of Jesus in all of the Bible. It answers the question that everyone must answer, "Who is Jesus?"

Colossians 1:1-14 is Paul's expression of thanksgiving & prayer for the church in Colossae. Wrapped within that prayer are incredible proclamations of what we have in Jesus.

Everyone is a follower of someone or something. Jesus desires us to go into all the world and make disciples of him, the only lasting hope and treasure. As seen in Matthew 28:19-20 God multiplies disciples through his people.

Godly leadership is vital to the church. Understanding the responsibility of leadership and the responsibility to leadership is critical for a healthy church. Hebrews 13:17 lays out some important groundwork for this important dynamic.

Ephesians 4:1-16 proclaims that it takes the Church for a Christian to grow. Each member has been gifted for the benefit of one another so that the church matures and is built up in love. We are recipients of these gifts of grace that we may give grace.
