The glory and grace of the Chief Shepherd is examined as we install a few elder at Grace City Church.

Baptism is worship because it points back to the cross and resurrection of Jesus.

Baptism is obedience because by it we express our faith in Jesus.

Baptism is identification because we say, "I'm with Him".

Following Jesus is a delightful act of worship—not a dull religious duty.

When discipleship feels like a burden, John invites us to remember:

1. God is for me, not against me

2. Obedience means loving God and loving others

3. Following Jesus is first and finally about believing Jesus

When my life stinks, my perspective shrinks.

The resurrection of Jesus stretches my perspective from "the things of man" back to "the things of God".

Jesus understands my grief, so I'm not alone.

God knows what he's doing, so I don't need to understand it all.

Suffering is the pathway to glory. So, it will get better, but perhaps not in this lifetime.
