Your life may not be everything you hoped for as a child. Circumstances may have changed the path you thought you'd be on by now. However, when we choose to live lives of faith despite our current circumstances and the foreseeable future, we clear the stage for God to reveal His plan and glory. Joseph had every reason to give up and live for himself. His choice to live a life of faith each day changed not only his future, but the future for countless lives to come.

Temptation comes in different forms to each and every person. As we continue looking at the story of Joseph, we see Joseph in one of the most critical decisions of his life. When given the opportunity to improve our position or influence verses choosing to honor God, sadly most of us fail to choose God. What is clear from Joseph's story is that personal integrity brings God greater glory than public praise.

Faith is a mysterious idea. People of all backgrounds and even those who do not claim religious affiliation talk about faith being tested. As a matter of fact, most agree that having faith in seasons of joy or pleasant circumstances isn't admirable. The true test of faith is in tragedy, crisis, and difficulty. Sometimes we encounter opposition to everything we hoped for. It's in these times that we find out where we have place our faith.

Baptism has a long and confusing history. There are many opinions on the subject of baptism, but where did we get it and how is it supposed to be done. The Bible is clear on the subject and it might not say exactly what you think it says. Join us as we look at how we're called to go public with our faith.

The most non-renewable resource on Earth is time. The only thing more precious than our time is the people on whom we spend it. One day each of us will have to account for how we spent the life God gave us to steward. Much like our money, we're better at wasting our time than investing it in the Kingdom of God. We need to remember that even when it comes to our time: what's mine isn't mine, it's God's.

Why is money such a big deal in church? Well, money tends to be a big deal everywhere; however, it's a big deal in church because it tends to be the biggest barrier for people growing deeper in intimacy with God. Jesus taught that where our treasure is, our heart will also be. It's time we do a little self-examination and discover just where our heart is located.

When it comes to how we handle our money, there are clear expectations from God. Most of us either don't know what those expectations are, don't care what they are, or feel incapable of meeting them. If we look at what God says about our money, we'll realize that the purpose of having money isn't to be wise with it, but to use it in such a way that God receives thanksgiving.

Commitment is a big deal, but maybe not the commitment you think. When it comes to long lasting relationships, everyone knows that commitment matters. However, when it comes to honoring God as a single person committing to God is what truly matters. Instead of spending your days trying to find the person you hope to commit to for the rest of your life, we should commit now to be people who are able to keep our commitments later.

Sex is everywhere. It saturates almost every part of American culture, and seems to be the foundation for most of the entertainment industry. Subtly over time, culture has been trying to convince us that sex is simply a casually physical part of a normal person's life. The truth is, sex isn't just physical. Sex is a wonderful creation and gift from God. It's time we start treating sex the way the Creator intended.

So what are the rules today for single men? Better question: what does God expect from men? The standard for men today is significantly lower than it once was. Nowhere is that more obvious than in the way men treat women. Scripture is clear about the expectations for men. We've all got a lot of growing up today.
