What does this -equipping for ministry- mean, and how does it happen-

We're called to unity, but not uniformity. We must be unified in the foundations of Christianity, but we must not think that all of us must be the exact same. Christ gave us unity, but He's also given us diversity within that unity. The more diverse and varied our churches are, the more healthy they will be.

Jesus Christ purchased many things for us when He died, rose again, and ascended to heaven. In particular, one of the things He purchased for us is spiritual gifts to edify His church. When He rose from the dead, He led a host of captives and gave gifts to men. May we not despise the gifts that have been given to us when they were purchased at such a high cost.

In the curse of Jericho we see that our God is a God who does what He says, even after hundreds of years, both the curses and the blessings.

Are you growing weary in well doing- Don't lose heart on the things of Christ, but keep sowing, for what you sow you will reap. What is it we will reap if we do not give up- Eternal life- that is- seeing Christ face to face.
