We are living in exponential times known as the Digital Revolution. Our use of modern technologies are impacting how we live and how we relate to one another. Technology itself is not necessarily good or evil, it’s how we use it that matters. In this message I preach about potentially benefits and dangers that technology provides us both as individuals and in terms of our community. The bible gives us clear guidelines for all of life including how to assure that technology serves us and we do not serve it.

We all like being a part of vibrant, living, joy-filled community. Some of us seem to prefer to dabble in

community rather than commit to it. Community the way God created it requires sacrifice and work.

What did Jesus model and what am I going to do as I understand His heart and plans for community?

As we start the new school year we are also starting a new sermon series that will certainly challenge each one of us! The word "community" can mean many things - but just about every definition we can come up with involves people. How much of what I understand about community is driven by our culture and how much is a result of understanding God's heart and purposes? We introduce our Biblical Community series this week by defining what God means by community and learn what His purposes for community are.
