At the start of a new year we tend to look forward with excitement at the potential that lies ahead. At the same time we look back at the old year with regrets over what we didn’t do or that we’re still stuck in the same place. In Matt. 6:19-21 Jesus gives us a Kingdom perspective on how to invest our treasure correctly. The result is that we daily live out the spectacular plans God has for us and become people who live without regrets.

Let’s embrace Paul’s encouragement from Philippians 3:14 and press on to receive everything God has for us in the new year!

Based on Isaiah 9:6, we’ll take a closer look at the name “Everlasting Father” and how Jesus fulfilled the prophecies as the promised Messiah.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
