The Kingdom of God is made up of people following Jesus. In Luke 18 we see three types of people that make up the Kingdom of God and we are meant to see if these qualities are found in our lives.

Jesus understood the Kingdom of God to be something that was already among us- not something off in the distant future. This message discusses how our understanding of the Kingdom of God prepares us to follow Jesus now and in the future.

In today’s message Jesus talks to His disciples about being wise as stewards of what God is doing while also being prepared for the judgement that will come.

Jesus continues to model what a relationship with God looks like as He prays. The disciples ask Jesus to teach them to pray. This message looks at the way Jesus modeled prayer and how we can grow as people of prayer.

Jesus reveals more of who He really is to His disciples, but that doesn’t mean they understand at this point of the journey what He is all about! Peter has to learn that Jesus has a greater glory than the Law and the Prophets.

Jesus always calls people into relationship with Himself- but what does that relationship look like and what does He expect of a disciple? This message looks at the questions Jesus asks to clarify His position in the lives of the disciples and what He expects us to do as we follow Him.

Jesus uses three questions to help us identify the work God is doing in bringing the Messiah to the world and identify who belongs in His Kingdom.

As we journey deeper into Luke’s gospel we get the foundational teaching of Jesus for what life looks like in His Kingdom. It’s a plain truth, spoken simply, but it can be difficult to do. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to live the Kingdom life.

In Luke 2 we experience the birth of Jesus and the message of angels to some specific shepherds outside Bethlehem about the good news and great joy that come to all mankind through His birth.
