Closing Thought: Beloved, let us love the church Christ purchased: draw near to her children, receive the care of her shepherds, and guard the gospel entrusted to her. Let us neither welcome as a brother nor support as a teacher anyone who denies Christ or corrupts His gospel. We must take care to be sure that every message and messenger received by the church must serve the gospel rather than displace it, so that the gospel remains the central message of the church.

Closing Thought: Beloved, God has revealed the true Christ, given eternal life in His Son, and made evident the difference between His children and the children of the devil. He instructs us to guard ourselves from false ideas about Christ and from every created thing we are tempted to trust for the security, identity, satisfaction, approval, or control that can be found only in Him. Having received eternal life in Jesus Christ, let us give ourselves wholly to Him and refuse every idol that seeks His throne.
