Jesus- instructions on how we are to handle those who are our enemies, those who hate us, those who curse us, and those who abuse us is very clear and easy to understand. We are to love them, do good to them, bless them, and pray for them. He who has ears, let them hear.

The blessed of God will be hated, excluded, reviled, and called evil by those who hate God. The cursed, false Christian will be loved by all people. If you are blessed, jump for joy. If you are a -Christian- who receives no persecution, live for Christs' sake and then you will.

Weeping now over our sin will result in eternal laughter. By contrast, those who laugh now at their sin, are happy in their iniquity, will mourn and weep for all eternity.

Have you yet believed on Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins- If not, hunger for salvation. If yes, hunger for sanctification. And in both cases, God will fill you up.

Being poor and needy is a necessary realization of everyone who is truly going to inherit the kingdom of heaven. For those who have not recognized their spiritual poverty, eternal horror, dread, and deep suffering await. Humble yourself and He will lift you up.

Jesus attracted a large following, consisting of Apostles, learners, and the multitudes. The Apostles were there to stay -except for one-, the learners were there to be wowed, and the multitudes only cared about the miracles He performed. All their responses were based on how they interacted with the words Jesus spoke. Two considerations for us today- why are we listening to Jesus and how will we respond to words He speaks.

There are two destinies- faithfulness to God and eternal life, and unbelief and eternal death. Outside appearances don't matter. Little children, be diligent to confirm your calling and election.

God chose and then used these twelve ordinary men to do extraordinary things. God uses ordinary people, like you and me Beloved, to do extraordinary things for His glory. Brothers and sisters, by the grace of God, let's be extraordinary for Christ- Amen-
