We see in Saul an example of a new believer increasing in strength as he progresses in living out Jesus' calling on his life. This strengthening began immediately after Saul's conversion and continued for the rest of his life. To know God's Word more, and to trust in His promises will be our source of increasing strength.

We see in the life of Saul the immediate manifestations of his new life in Christ. Brethren, remember when you first sought God's mercy and grace because you had an encounter with Jesus- Remember the time when you could clearly see the Truth, as you were brought out of darkness into the light of Jesus Christ- Remember when you were baptized, outwardly affirming the inward reality of your new union with Christ- Remember when, like Saul, you turned away from a life of sin in contrition to God and you became a new creation, zealous to live to the glory of God- If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord, been given the ability to see clearly, been baptized, and now live bearing fruit worthy of repentance, today is the day of salvation. In contrition, turn from your sin and look to Christ and live.

But some of the students were hot--not because of the weather, but because of a small group of open-air preachers on campus.----Having heard from students that the group of preachers might be of the type who preach from a -sinless perfectionism- perspective, Tony stood a discreet distance away from the preachers, holding his -Stop and Talk- cross and distributing gospel tracts.----A student name Issac, a professing Christian, stopped to talk to Tony. During the conversation, Isaac questioned the divinity of Jesus.

Ananias was a faithful disciple who trusted in God and went to the most dangerous man he knew of, to minister to him on behalf of God. We, too, are to be faithful disciples by going to both unbelievers who seemingly hate God, and to believers who need exhortation. May we, too, be led by the Spirit to be faithful disciples for our Lord.

It was a chilly afternoon on Tony's favorite corner for crosswalking -Marquette and Locust-. Zubair, a 17-year-old student at a local, private Catholic high school, saw Tony with the cross and was curious enough to stop and talk.----Zubair was confident that since the sins to which he was willing to admit happened when he was younger, God would see him as innocent. He would learn that time does not forgive sin.
