The Good News is that God has broken into history to rescue His people and build His kingdom.

The next chapter in the Kingdom story brings us to the Fall of humanity into sin. It is human sin breaks the peace of God's kingdom order. Sin begins with rebellion and plunges humanity into shame and judgment.

God's kingdom is revealed at creation when God's people are living in God's place under God's rule.* Not only does God create and rule by His word, but He is also good and loves what He has created.

The Resurrection means that we will be changed into something better, that we will see the end of death and that we can stand firm in the present.

When the Holy Spirit came and filled the lives of the early church, they modeled church life for us by devoting themselves to scripture, to fellowship, and to evangelism.

God governs how his people worship through His word. We can discern several principles for worship from this chapter.

God gives gifts to His church to build it up, not tear it apart. To that end, spiritual gifts must be used in love and for the good of the whole body.

Love must be the defining mark of Christian community.

God gives a diversity of gifts so that the name of Jesus can be exalted.

When we come to the Lord's Table we celebrate what Christ has done and we celebrate it together.
