Jesus prays for those whom the Father has given Him.

When Jesus prays, He seeks the glory of God and He seeks it in the cross of suffering. Through the glory of the Son, sinners come to know God and have eternal life.

Sorrow will give way to joy because Jesus has overcome the world.

The Holy Spirit comes to bear witness to the truth of Jesus to the world and for the Church.

To be accepted by Jesus means to be rejected by the world

The only hope we have for living a fruitful, God-honoring life is to abide in Jesus. He is the True Vine that replaces the broken, dead vines of old.

The only way to live like Jesus is to be connected to Jesus' life. Bearing fruit for Jesus is the inevitable result of abiding in Jesus.

Jesus comforts His disciples by sending another Helper to walk with them as they follow Jesus.

Jesus is leaving, but He doesn't leave His disciples alone. After promising them a place with Him, He goes on to promise that they will follow in His footsteps and have access to Him through prayer.

The only hope of reconciling our tendency to pride, racism and violence is to trust that Jesus has already killed the hostility by shedding his own blood on the cross.
