Life is hard. We see people getting away with hurtful things and it seems like justice is becoming a hope-stealing mirage. Today, you will see a new side of God, the side of God as the avenger of His children. So when we are wronged, we still love as Christ commands AND we know that God is on our side and He will Avenge us.

Being at peace can sometimes seem impossible with all the pressures of life. Today, we will explore wisdom from the Lord filtered through the life of David to learn how to cultivate peace when life seems out of control.

Today we begin a new series in which we will learn from a much older and wiser man who wants to shape our journey through life. The man lived some 3000 years ago, but it would be virtually impossible to find a better guide on how to live a God-centered life.

We tend to think of burdens as things that keep us from fulfillment. But, could it be possible to carry a burden that actually makes it possible for us to do the very thing we were made to do? Today we will look to see what Jesus says about burden bearing and how what we carry may be far more important than we realize.

It is almost predictable: a Christian is sharing the reality of sin and the need for a Savior and soon hears: “Didn’t Jesus say not to judge others? Why are YOU judging me?” Is this true? How would you respond? Today, we will find out.

Paul’s letter to the Colossians serves as the backdrop for our study today of the two most common religious extremes and how they undermine the hope we have in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Understanding our mission in life is critical if we are to live a purpose-filled life. Jesus never envisioned His people struggling with aimlessness or merely living busy lives. Jesus wants more for us. Today, you will not only find out your mission but discover that you are not alone.

We value asking questions to better understand how to live life in a God- centered, Christ-exalting way. We believe that church should be the best place in which people can get solid answers to life’s questions from God’s Word.

Q1 (3:45). There has been lots of talk about fundamentalism vs. progressivism within the church. It would seem the argument falls around what issues fall in what tier of importance. Can you explain and provide examples of what first, second, and third tier issues are? How do we handle this with other believers who believe everything is the first tier or nothing is the first tier?

Q2 (15:50). We read in the Bible in Matthew 5:43-48 to “Love our enemies” but then there are passages in the Bible like the imprecatory Psalms, in particular, Psalms 11:5 and Psalms 139:17-22 and there is Proverbs 6:16-19 where it describes types of people that God hates. Is it ever right for Christians to hate? If not, then aren’t we loving what God hates?

Q3 (29:45). How do you determine/designate an issue to be merely cultural for the day (e.g., head covering related to the man and woman, 1 Cor. 11:2-16) vs. a thing to be observed like all other standards?

Christianity is often associated with mere performance rather than renewed identity. But we were not saved from something we did; we were saved from our unbelief. In light of this, we will contrast two types of people and their quest for spiritual growth.

The doctrine of the Trinity is a fundamental distinctive among Christians, but how is it that the word “Trinity” does not appear in the Bible? What is the basis and relevance of this subject to our lives? Today, we will find out together.
