Hebrews was written as a letter to Jewish believers early in the history of the Church. The letter urges them not to return to religious processes for the atonement that only Christ gives. This speaks to our reliance today on piety and works rather than submitting to the totality and completeness of the work of Jesus.
How God's Holy Spirit moved in the early Church, spreading the Gospel, changing the world. Our calling is to tell and spread the Gospel. His Spirit and the assuredness of His Truth should lead us to live for it and prepare us to die for it.
The Resurrection: How it completes the promises of the Old Testament; what it means to us at the moment we receive it; and what it means we should do going forward.
Why did the Christ come to die? Why did He have to? We address the character of God and atonement for sin by answering these questions: How does the world see the cross? What is really happening? Why is this the most important moment ever?
The true Kingdom of God (spiritual) will look different from the earthly kingdom the Jews expected. This Kingdom will begin with a humble Savior; with a Lord willing to condescend and die for His people--this, no one expects.
