Are you following the real Jesus or making Jesus in your own image?

Jesus uses inadequate people and inadequate resources to pull off the miraculous.

Jesus cares greatly about our physical needs and as the Great Physician, has the power to heal whatever ails us. But even more than physical healing, it is a deeper, soul-level healing that he desires for and offers to everyone who will follow him.

Jesus has a pattern in how he relentlessly pursues us that always ends with him offering himself as the solution to our hunger and thirst.

When we become followers of Jesus, the Spirit of God becomes our identity; Jesus enables us to live out a new story; and God’s Kingdom’s value system replaces our own.

Whatever you think of Jesus, his place as the most influential and captivating person in all of human history is unavoidable.

The book of John was written to introduce us to Jesus Christ, who he is (God in the flesh; the Living Word) and what he did, all with the sole aim of leading us all to embrace the saving work of Christ in faith.

God’s plan is for those who belong to Jesus to be ambassadors carrying with us the light of Jesus and his love for all people.

Joy isn’t optional in the life of a follower of Jesus. It’s not fully complete; it’s not fully experienced; but it isn’t optional, and it should be experienced.
