What’s your next step with Jesus?
In Episode #2 of Grace in the Grind, Tim and Paulie sit down with Pastor Tyler Hanson to talk about what discipleship actually looks like in everyday life—and why following Jesus is about more than showing up on Sunday.
We talk about finding people who can help you grow, becoming that person for someone else, baptism, Christian community, serving, sharing your faith, and finding a church where you can put down roots.
Tyler also shares his own journey into ministry, and Tim shares how Tyler’s friendship and mentorship helped lead him to baptism—and eventually helped create a chain of discipleship that brought Tim and Paulie together.
Along the way, we get into what it means to be discipled, why podcasts and books can supplement—but never replace—real relationships and community, and why you don’t need to have everything figured out before taking another step toward Jesus.
Wherever you are in your walk with Christ, there’s a next step.

Grace in the Grind — Real conversations. Biblical truth. Everyday life.
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.
What if your job isn’t separate from your faith — but actually one of the places you’re called to live it out?
In our first full episode of Grace in the Grind, we sit down with Pastor Seth Philip to talk about work, purpose, calling, and what it looks like to serve God in the ordinary things we do every day.
We talk about why work was part of God’s design from the beginning, how even ordinary or frustrating work can become worship, and why following Jesus doesn’t stop when Monday morning rolls around.
Whether you’re cutting hair, working in sales, raising kids, washing dishes, running a business, or doing a job you don’t particularly love, your work can have purpose far beyond a paycheck.
Maybe the question isn’t simply, “What does God want me to do with my life?”
Maybe it’s also, “How can God use me right where I am?”

Welcome to Grace in the Grind.
In this pilot episode, we introduce ourselves, share a little of our stories and faith journeys, and talk about how this podcast came to be — and why we felt called to actually do something with the idea.
We’re not pastors or theologians. We’re two regular guys trying to follow Jesus, ask better questions, learn from people who know more than we do, and figure out what biblical truth looks like in everyday life.
This episode is the starting point.

Life is full of questions, and the grind is real.
Grace in the Grind is a Christian podcast about following Jesus in the middle of everyday life.
We’re Tim and Paulie — two regular guys…
Because following Jesus isn’t just something we do on Sunday.
It happens at work. At home. In our relationships. In our communities. In the difficult seasons, the ordinary moments, and all the messy stuff in between.
Our goal isn’t to pretend we have Christianity figured out. It’s to ask the questions everyday Christians are asking, learn from people who have walked this road longer than we have, dig into what the Bible actually says, and figure out how we can live it out.
You don’t need to be a pastor, theologian, or Bible scholar to make disciples, serve God, or have an impact on the people around you. Jesus calls ordinary people to follow Him — and to help others do the same as we go.
Real conversations. Biblical truth. Everyday life.
