Living in the Grace of God Rooted in Christ, this sermon covered the foundational idea of receiving Christ which grants the fullness of God, the immediate reality of forgiveness, healing, and deliverance, and the ongoing state of being rooted in Him. It also explains the Greek perfect passive participle for rooted,” highlighting the perfect and already‑perfected spirit, and emphasises how the Holy Spirit provides revelatory awareness of these truths in daily life.

This week Pastor Emmanuel unpacks what it truly means to live in the finished work of Christ — Colossians 2:6-7.

God doesn't just want you to know about His grace — He wants you to walk in it. Not just knowing you've been healed, forgiven and delivered — but walking in the power of it daily. The key takeaway? Stop living in the past tense and start living in the perfect tense — the reality that what God has completed in Christ, you exist in right now. Rooted. Established. Forever.

Pastor Emmanuel explains that receiving Christ is a one-time act, but living in His reality is a continuous and selfless act. He emphasises inner renewal, allowing the Holy Spirit’s presence within us to produce outward fruit, and encourages believers to boast in their weaknesses so Christ’s power can be revealed through them.

Pastor Emmanuel explains that regeneration occurs at salvation through the Holy Spirit, while baptism is the public declaration of that inward transformation. He shows how baptism symbolises Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, declaring the believer’s transfer from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God.

Pastor Emmanuel starts a new series "Living in the Experience of God's Grace" by unpacking Colossians 2:6-7, drawing a line between being positionally "rooted" in Christ — something already finished — and being "built up," the daily, lived experience God grows in us from that root. The message lands on a simple shift: stop striving to earn what's already yours, and instead grow more conscious of it, so grace moves from something you know about to something you actually live.

This week Pastor Emmanuel concludes the series "Building Roots in What You Hear" with a Q&A alongside his wife Pastor Sam, exploring how genuine understanding of scripture — not just hearing it — is what allows a Christian to bear fruit, drawn from the Parable of the Sower in Luke 8. He walks through reading, studying, and meditating on the word as a path to real intimacy with God, cautions against letting tools like ChatGPT stand in for that relationship, and points to everyday distractions like busyness and pleasure as quiet threats to spiritual depth.

Pastor Emmanuel explains Jesus' Parable of the Sower, revealing Satan's three-phase strategy to stop God's Word from taking root — blocking it from being heard, encouraging shallow joy that fades fast, then choking growth with cares, riches, and pleasures. He breaks down the soil types as how we each respond to God's Word. Explaining how the bible equips believers with practical disciplines — daily Word harvest, speaking Scripture aloud, and using rhema verses as a sword of the Spirit — to build deep roots that produce lasting fruit.
