How do you practically control the volume of noise in your life?

What does wisdom mean to you? What is a simple memorable definition for you? What value can you place on wisdom (Prov 2:4-6; 16:16)?
Look at the 4 Jewels that wisdom brings in v. 2-4. These words or phrases help us understand the riches of wisdom. Try to recall the value each of these brings to our life.
How does Jesus fit into the conversation on wisdom? (1 Cor. 1:24,30; Col. 2:3)

    Central Text: Matthew 28:19-20
Review what it means to KNOW GOD and LOVE PEOPLE from the past messages.
What makes these the most important commandments and why are they inseparable (Mark 12:28-37)
Mike said the CHURCH isn’t a destination you ARRIVE AT, but a MOVEMENT you are SENT FROM. What does this statement mean? Assign different people in your group to read the following passages for clarity (John 20:21; Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:47-49; Matthew 28:16-28)
What does it mean to be a disciple who makes disciples?
Read Matthew 28:19-20. What is the primary verb in the passage? How do the other "calls to action" modify or bring clarity to the main verb, based on what Mike shared in his message.
What does "going to the nations" mean? How does our stewardship of the truth of the gospel compare to the world distribution and accessibility to the gospel?

  • I Love People - Audio
    Central Text: Mark 12:28-34
Review what you can remember from the Sept 13th message as to what it means to KNOW GOD (the first commandment).
How does the 1st command of knowing God through a love relationship feed into loving people?
Mike said loving people involved getting into people's messy lives. How did Jesus model entering into our messy lives by loving us (Roman 5:8)?
Can you share a time when you were either in a messy situation or you helped someone in a messy situation that was a part of your church family?
Was it messy? Do you have any regrets for getting involved or having someone step into your life to correct from a place of love?
Read Mark 12:3. What is the standard for quality in how much or to what degree you are called to love other (answer: the same measure that you love yourself) Spend some time chewing on that. What does that mean? How does that affect how I view the ministry I am a part of?
Mike repeatedly emphasized “LOVE DOES.” Reread the verses and consider how “love does” (James 2:16; 1 Corinthians 13:4; 1 John 4:7-10).
What does the phrase mean to you: "Every member is a minister and every ministry is important."

  • I Know God - Audio
    Mark 12:28-37
Mike said there were 3 core questions most everyone will ask in life: Who are my parents? Why am I here? What will happen to me when I die? Do you think these questions get to the core of life questions that most people will wrestle with in life?
Review with your group (either from the message or just from your own reading), how Jesus got pulled into a conversation about what was most important. How should Jesus’ clarifying what is most important clarity for us what should be most important for us?
Mike drew a Vertical line on a white board in his message what did the vertical line refer to?
Mike described us all as either living in a broken relationship or a restored relationship with God moving back to his perfect design through Jesus. You might ask everyone to classify which circle they are living in - God’s design or brokenness (Group Leader… be ready - some in the group may be in brokenness and afraid to admit it. Feel free to share the gospel and invite anyone in the group to move into a relationship with Jesus. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if people in your group cross the line and entered into a relationship with Jesus during group meeting?)
Our love relationship is real and personal, but also expressed. Jesus calls us for a total-body and life-expression of our worship of him (Read Mark 12:30).
How can you love God in the 4 domains of our life: heart, soul, mind and strength? Be as practical as you can.
What is your next step of obedience?
