Key verses from today's message:
Matthew 16:24-26
2 Corinthians 3:18
Phillippians 4:12-13
Some questions to think about:
What does it mean to you to surrender your self-interest to God?
How can we identify areas in our lives where we need to surrender more to God?
What are some burdens you feel God is asking you to bear for His kingdom?
How can we ensure that we are not creating a version of Jesus that fits our desires?
What are some practical ways to put off the old self and put on the new self?
How does trusting in God's promises bring peace to our lives?
What is a 'kingdom resolution' you can make for the new year?
How can we support each other in our journeys of surrender and trust in God?
Apply it:
This week, identify one area of your life where you can surrender more to God. Take a step of faith in that area and trust God to bring peace and transformation.
Key takeaways:
The deeper the surrender to God, the greater the peace we experience.
Surrender involves denying our self-interest and trusting God's plan.
True peace is rooted in a relationship with God and is unaffected by circumstances.
Living a life of purpose involves bearing the burdens God places on us for His kingdom.
Trusting in God's promises is essential for experiencing peace in every situation.
