We live in a sin cursed world. But that does not mean that we have to emulate the world. We serve a different Lord who has provided a different standard to follow in order to live our lives to please Him. Are you aware of that standard- If so, does it inform and guide your day to day decisions-

We confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and yet how is this confession evident in our day to day interactions with others- If you trust in Christ alone for salvation, then you have been granted the ability and responsibility to make the most of what has been given you each day. As the Apostle Paul taught and exampled in his life- -Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is- -Ephesians 5-15-17-.

Consider the following in light of the situations we face today- -Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off- For truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. So truth fails, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor- therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him- and His own righteousness, it sustained Him- -Isaiah 59-14-16-. Our Lord Jesus Christ is victorious over sin, death, and Satan. He calls us to confess and proclaim this gospel truth no matter what the cost.

If you are a new creature in Christ then you have been changed from darkness into light in the Lord. You are now a child of light -cf. Eph. 5-8-. As such, Christ has called you to be a witness of the His grace -Acts 1-8- and to -sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear- -1 Peter 3-15-. The Apostles taught this truth and practiced what they preached. We are not alone in this endeavor for the Lord is always with us.

The Apostle Paul wrote -If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved- -Romans 10-9-. He further declared that ultimately -every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father- -Phil. 2-11-. How does your life reflect your confession of faith in the Lordship of Christ- How is your faith being tested even now by the Sovereign God- And how should you respond-
