This season is celebrated throughout the world for a number of reasons. Unfortunately, many have lost sight of the real reason for the season. What about you- What difference does it make in your life that Christ Jesus was born of Mary over 2,000 years ago-

Our Lord Jesus Christ's heavenly ministry -including this healing- demonstrates His ongoing work of renewing the cosmos. Through faith in His name, we -His people- do His will as well as interpret and proclaim His sovereign actions in our time. We are His witnesses and instruments of His love and mercy to a lost and dying world.

God the Father sent us Truth personified in His Son Jesus Christ. And from heaven Christ sent the Spirit of Truth who empowers and guides His church. It is through the Holy Spirit's application of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ that we are saved. Furthermore, we are called to be witnesses and defenders of His truth unto the end of the age. The question is- do you rely on the Spirit and word of truth to interpret and guide you as you face the challenges of life-
