As we begin the year, Grace Testament Church launches a new message series titled “Happy No Year.” This series challenges the idea that happiness always comes from saying “yes” to every opportunity, desire, or visible advantage. Sometimes, the most faithful—and joyful—decision is learning when to say no.
In Part 1: “Not by Sight,” the message is anchored on Genesis 13 and 2 Corinthians 5:7, reminding us that the Christian life is lived not by what we see, but by faith. Through the contrasting choices of Lot and Abraham, we are shown how decisions based purely on appearance, comfort, or opportunity can lead to loss, while decisions rooted in trust and obedience open the way for God’s greater blessing.
This message calls believers to examine how they make decisions—whether in relationships, careers, finances, or spiritual life—and to ask not only, “What looks good now?” but “What honors God in the long run?” Saying no to sight-led living is often saying yes to God’s guidance, protection, and promise.
As you step into a new year, be encouraged to commit your plans, choices, and future to the Lord—and learn to walk by faith, not by sight.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
