We are saved for a reason beyond enjoying eternal life with God. Our lives point to the Savior, Jesus Christ. We are inspired to reach out to those in need and share the Gospel in words and deeds. Let our lives glorify God and bear witness to His gracious saving acts in Jesus.

The Bible has several lists of spiritual gifts. These are not exhaustive, but they point to something we need to be mindful of in our daily walk with Christ. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to followers of Jesus.

Why do some lead and other sit on the sidelines? Are we waiting to have our number called? And if we get the call, would we actually follow through and lead? Excuses are many, few choose to lead. God calls us to lead and to serve, as Christ did.

In Jesus Christ, there was no sin. He defeated the power of death and in Christ we receive eternal life. Our calling is to love God and neighbor, inside and outside the church. To do so, we need to surround ourselves with faithful followers of Jesus.

God calls Christians to be fruitful. How do we live a fruitful life? Fruitful living should encompass our wholes lives, not just pieces. Many of us do not realize that begin unfruitful in one area can keep us from growing in other areas as well.

What does it mean to follow Jesus? All are invited, but few follow. Jesus calls us to live a new life in Him. We must reject the ways of this world, and embrace compassion, hope and love.

As we search the scriptures, we begin to better understand Jesus as Messiah and Savior. He was the long awaited Messiah to a people disconnected from God. Reconnect to God this day in Jesus.

Is our faith contagious? Does it spread? It should, especially since Jesus asked us to do so. Be open and willing to share your faith with family, friends and strangers. Remember, strangers are friends we have yet to meet.

This weekend, we rest from our labors. Even Jesus would step away for a time of prayer and rest. For us, we tend to rest from the wrong things like faithfulness, regular worship and prayer.

The ministry of Jesus Christ was a revolutionary experience for many. God loves everyone? Religious leaders could be wrong? Jesus came to save souls, change the course of the religious and defeat evil.
