Eddie continues the series of the Seven I Am's of Jesus, looking at I Am the Gate. Eddie not only puts it into theological context but also gives insight into cultural context too.

Adrian is a friend of the house and he brings a message from God for us as a local church. We live in the New Testament presence of God where He lives in us and we live in him. He no longer comes to visit on special occasions, but is with us always. Prayer is the way we connect with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Gill and I met Mark & Laura a number of years ago at the Vineyard NLC, they were planning on moving to Malawi. We had church planted in Malawi in 1996 and spent nearly 14 years there. Their initial plan was to go to Lilongwe, but then God changed the plans and they ended up going to Blantyre and into the church that we had planted. They are now back in the U.K. and were visiting us for the weekend. Laura shares some of the things they were doing in Malawi and then Mark brings the message. Mark asks some questions of how doe we judge the goodness of God and what does it look like. He then uses scripture to bring answers to these questions.

He unpack the passage focussing on listening to the Good Shepherd and what we are to do when we listen to Him. Chantelle shares a testimony of how just doing what we are told to do in scripture changed the life of a homeless man that she met recenently while on holiday in Spain.

Jonny in his own special way asks a few questions of what it means to be a friend, what type of friends do we have, and how modern social media has changes the way we think about frineds. He then dives into the passage and using the acronym, FRIEND spells it out for us, why Jesus calls us, his disciples, friend.

Andy continues the Identity series, taking the basis for his talk from a message by Tim Keller. Our Western world culture is very different from non-Western cultures where their identity is very much being part of the community, what they do and how they serve the community. In the West we are focused on individual expressionism. Andy unpacks this in his message

He exhorts us to be spiritually one with God through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. God values each one of us. We are np;t to let the enemy rob us of our identity, we are overcomers through the power and presence of God in us.
