That was the dilema Mark Visser faced in preparing this sermon. He chose to look at the Parable of the Lost Son, but focus on the father and his character traits and compare them to the characteristics of Father God.

While the concept of the Church is how we gather, the concept of the Kingdom is how God reigns on the earth, through His saints.
